LEARN INDIA
An initiative to provide uninterrupted education during the Covid-19 pandemic
by raising $113,000 for 275 students

Every contribution to the campaign helps students affected by COVID-19 pandemic to continue their education

#EducationMustGoOn

purpose

The COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted over 90% of the global student population. Of the roughly 32 million students in India, most face a financial and technological impediment to tools and infrastructure that are vital for virtual learning. To support the education focused initiatives of Jnana Prabodhini in India, we aspire to raise funds to support 270 most financially affected JP students in 5 different regions. As the schools run by Jnana Prabodhini operate without any government grants and aid, we hope to sustain these schools without compromising the quality of education, during these unprecedented times. #EducationMustGoOn

IMPACT

  • Jnana Prabodhini Navnagar Vidyalaya, a partially funded school located in Nigdi provides education to students from pre primary to high school. The Gurukul project is centered on the theme of ‘Education through the development of Panchkoshas (Five Sheaths of Personality), while Kreedakul (Sports Academy) aims to coalesce science and sports to develop national and international players. • The Jnana Prabodhini Skill Development Institute in Shivapur aspires to inhibit the urban migration of rural youth. This institute provides certification courses and vocational training and production workshops. We supported 17 youths enrolled in the highly demanding Turning course (Lathe Machine Operator) who will be highly sought after in neighbouring industries

  • In Velhe, Jnana Prabodhini established ‘Girikanya’, a housing and skill  development program for women in the neighbouring villages.
